AUGUST 2024

Quote of the Month and Last Month

"When the power of Love Overcomes the love of power, the world will know PEACE! "

Jimi Hendrix

This week my wife and I have had the pleasure of sharing our home with our daughter and granddaughter.  Our granddaughter is 3 1/2 years old. Well, she's actually almost four. What a joy it is to have a child that age running around the house and property. And to see the world through the lens of a 4 year old is so amazingly refreshing. Her mom is a teacher of Special Education and so the four year old takes on the conversation of a teacher, quietly and gently correcting and suggesting change of a behavior so that peace can be accomplished.

One of my favorite things to do with our granddaughter is to read her story's. Yesterday was a very busy day. We got up at 7 AM and fed the chickens, collected three eggs, fed the horses and cleaned up the horses poop. Then we went to the park and played on the zip line. It was her very first time riding on the zip line all by her self. She was so brave. After lunch instead of taking a nap she helped us clean out the barn to get ready for a hay delivery. She sat on a western saddle, which was sitting on a saw horse and pretended to ride. She grabbed a fly mask and put it on her head and pretended to be a horse. So much fun.

Then we went swimming in our swim spa. She's been having swimming lessons since the age of two. Finally after dinner and a very long bath she sat on my lap so that I could read her a bedtime story.  LOVE is my favorite Thing is the name of the book. It's a story about a puppy who's always getting into mischief. Even though the puppy knows the difference between right and wrong it just can't help himself and gets swayed by his peers and his own temptations to do the wrong thing. But the puppy, even though he gets disciplined hopes that his owners still LOVES him. Because LOVE is his favorite thing.

She fell asleep towards the end of the story. Such a peaceful feeling.

THE Power of Love.

Today and everyday for the rest of our lives lets try Not to live for the Love of Power, But rather

FOR AND WITH

THE POWER OF LOVE.

PRAY FOR EVERYTHING/EVERYONE ALWAYS!

GOD BLESS YOU!

Share the LOVE!!

JOY TO THE WORLD..
